In Home Personal Training

A certified trainer will arrive at your home or office with portable exercise equipment and design a personal exercise program specifically for you. 

Jennifer MacDonald,BA.,CPT.,PFS  is a fitness professional that develops and implements an individualized exercise program through physical assessment, proper exercise instruction and personal motivation. The program is based on clients’ specific goals & needs, (i.e. weight loss, health & fitness education, muscle toning, strengthening of bones, nutritional advice and injury rehabilitation).

Knock Knock Fitness feels every client requires an initial consultation ($100 fee) for three reasons: 

1) Ensure you feel comfortable with Jennifer as your trainer 
2) Establish a relationship built on trust and accountability
3) The assessment allows us to have a starting point to reflect back 
on once you achieve your goals & celebrate all your hard work.


The initial consultation consists of:
* Background information (general & medical)  
* Assessing current lifestyle and body composition 
* Personal goals/needs/priorities 
* Review of current level of fitness & physical assessment 
* Individualized program designed specifically for the client
* Develop a structured fitness schedule for the client & trainer


Once the program is developed and a schedule is set, all future sessions are to be 60 min. in length (unless otherwise specified) & Jennifer will be knocking at your door ten minutes prior to each session with

*equipment, fitness program & an efficient workout.

“I have always been an active individual, someone who plays sports and engages in physical activity whenever possible. I had what I thought was a decent knowledge of human anatomy and the correct way to build muscle. With my career sites set on policing I thought I had what it takes to breeze through the physical test. I was wrong. I ran the police physical prior to meeting Jennifer and missed the qualifying time to move forward. I was devastated but I thought maybe I should change up my workout routine, run a bit more, stop all my fast food binges and I'll be fine. Three months later I did the test again and had the same results. Now this was an extremely discouraging point in my life, I thought I won't be able to make it as a police officer. I've never been one to ask for help when needed but in a weird twist of fate I decided to give it one more try. Third times a charm right? Well I booked my police physical for Jan 19th and started on my same training routine. 

It was later that week that I went to a friend’s birthday party and met the one and only Jennifer Malyk. I found out she was a personal trainer for women and decided to see if she had any tips or tricks for me. Well one thing led to another and the next thing I know I'm doing triceps push-up on the wall and breaking a sweat in a skirt and blouse right before the bar. But this night changed everything for me, it opened up my eyes to an alternative form of training and also gave me a new friend. And just like that I hired Knock Knock Fitness to kick my butt into gear and help me pass my test. Never have I met anyone who was so dedicated and motivated in her job. Jennifer is the most organized and prepared person I have ever worked with. Our first consultation was awesome, we discussed goals, eating habits, daily activities amongst other crucial aspects that can either enhance or hinder achieving my goals. Jennifer set out on a mission to get me to pass this test and I believed with her help I can achieve this goal.  We started working out three times a week for the next two months trying to get me in shape. Jennifer made specific circuit workouts to build up my endurance as well as build key muscles to help in different aspects of my test. With these target specific workouts we also changed my eating habits. Ensuring I had a lot of vegetables, increased my water intake, and incorporated more protein into my diet. With this new lifestyle I was well on my way to passing this test. Jennifer worked me hard and pushed my body to levels I never thought I could reach on my own. 

When I started with Knock Knock Fitness I could barely and I mean barely do 5 push-ups with the correct form, now I can easily do 30+ non-stop in perfect form. My body completely transformed, I can now confidently say that I am strong and I can push myself further than ever before. I am 23 and now in the best shape of my life and this is thanks to Jennifer Malyk. She had such a positive attitude the entire time, always giving me little words of encouragement to motivate me and keep going. I ran my police test last weekend and I was extremely nervous but Jennifer taught me to turn the nerves into energy and just breathe and I'll be fine. She was right. 

We passed my police test with time to spare; I say we because we did this together, if I didn't pass Jennifer didn't pass. I can honestly say I wouldn't be in the place I am now without Jennifer’s help. She has helped build my confidence level back up, changed my eating habits and taught me the proper way to stretch, breathe and workout. Jennifer Malyk is an extremely dedicated, talented, positive and inspiring personal trainer & Kinesiologist. I would recommend her to anyone looking to make a change to their lives for the better. She has helped change my life and I am proof that she is amazing at her job and will help you achieve your goals if you're willing to work for them."
